Find Nearby
Hot and cold searching for the last few metres.
The Mesh Network tells you which street your pet is on. Find Nearby tells you which bush.
What it does
Open a tagged pet and tap Find nearby. The app listens for that one tag and shows a signal meter plus a plain warmer or colder as you walk. Distance is shown as a band - within arm's reach, very close, nearby, far - never as an exact figure.
Why there is no arrow
A radio signal carries no direction, only strength. Metal, walls, water and your own body all weaken it, so a tag two metres away inside a shed can read the same as one fifteen metres away across open grass. Anything claiming to point at a single tag is guessing, so the app shows the honest thing instead: a meter steadied against stray reflections, and the trend as you move. Walk a few paces, turn on the spot, watch which way it goes.
It works with nothing else
No mobile data, no GPS, no server - just the phone and the tag. That is exactly the situation you are in at the far end of a field at dusk, and it is why this is built into the app rather than the website.
